This is a lovely 1930’s day dress. It has a really beautiful print in lovely bright colours. It has big blouson sleeves with dropped shoulders. The skirt is lovely and full and the top is fitted. The collar, cuffs and hem are edged in bright red border and it has a gathered waistband. I have pinned the neckline for the photographs as there isn’t a popper. One could be added or it could be left open.
This dress is in very good condition. The fabric is strong and the colours are bright. There are some small holes along the hemline but these aren’t noticeable when worn.
It’s a beautiful piece and a lovely example from this period.
