This is such a great design. Dating from 1951 it celebrates the Festival of Britain. It has numerous bold illustrations throughout celebrating the British culture. There are illustrations of potters and glass blowers as well as The Globe Theatre and William Shakespeare.
There is a large map of the United Kingdom in the centre.The colours are very pretty and work well with the stylised illustrations.
The overall condition is good. There are a few small marks scattered throughout.
It has been cleaned and has a slight moth ball scent.
